First publicity
Thanks to the Lexington Herald-Leader's Jerry Tipton:
Michael Dann, a sports photographer for the Murray (Ky.) Ledger & Times, became a first-time father last week. He and his wife, Cassie, a social worker for Necco and Associates in Reidland, Ky., became parents of a boy.
Parker Evans Dann was born on Tuesday. He measured 181/2 inches long and 6 pounds, 14 ounces.
"We are very proud parents," the father said. "Tubby will be proud too!!"
That would be UK Coach Tubby Smith. Dann, an unabashed Cat fan (isn't that redundant?), sent a sonogram of Parker to UK.
By the way, Michael Dann has two aliases: treyballa21 when he participates on the Herald-Leader Internet chats and Spyder Mann on his Internet mail. The comic book character spiderman inspired his decision to be a photographer (in civilian life, spiderman was a newspaper photographer). And he named his son after spiderman's alter ego, Peter Parker.
